This is an amalgamation of the famous Barrett .50 caliber rifles M82/M107. Unlike my previous projects this one uses a completely new workflow that isn't unique but it achieves some pretty incredible results. I practiced my knowledge on high-poly topology to create this piece with all the detail and intricacies that you would see on the real rifle
I created this piece with the goal of making it a game ready asset that has a realistic & accurate look to it, by making the rifle as close as I can to the real weapon as well as creating PBR textures with scratches, grunges & rough areas that would appear in the real world. Giving it a more believable look; however the real weapon does have quite a plain looking surface so I emphasized the detail a bit to give the model more flair but not too much in order to not stray it from my goal of giving it a realistic look. Although this was one long project I am very proud of how it came out, and its easily the best piece of work so far that I have created!
This model contains 3 texture sets and for rendering purposes they are all using 4k textures. However in Marmoset viewer I use the game-ready version of the textures which contains a 4k texture set, a 2k texture set and a 1k texture set. The entire model (excluding the bullet) contains 36216 triangles.
